Rhyming is a great skill as it teaches students phonemic awareness and how language works together. They can begin to uncover patterns in words and it supports language development as they learn to create sentences around rhyming words.
Learning to rhyme helps improve student's oral language, as well as, early literacy skills as they learn to pick up on patterns in word structure and word families.
